I cannot access or use these files. When I try to find and download the "appropriate program" my computer says that Windows does not recognize the file type. When I browse from the languages tap I can see the folders I386\LANG but cannot see any of the files in either forder. Is there a program I need or something I need to change? Please Help
I'm seeding and seem to see quite some ppl having finished so... I ask those ppl to SEED..
ronsoyouth: I didn't understand your problem. What "appropriate program" are you talking about? you mean to download these files? or use them?

I have the files. I just cannot use them.
Did you read the .nfo?
I've tried to install them but I cannot open the .NL_ documents (etc.) Windows says that it cannot identify this program. When I try to "browse" in the Regional and Languages window (Languages Tab) I can open the folders but nothing else. When I open the I836 folder (In the Browse box) All I can see is the LANG folder. If I open the LANG folder there are no files shown. This is only in the browse window. If I open the folders in My Documents I can see the documents but they are labled as unidentified documents and cannot be opened. I have read the .nfo and looked up as much as I can, I've even asked on forums but I cannot figure out what is wrong. Please Help.
Well... If I understood correctly, you followed the .nfo.
But, I still can't understand if you tried to open the .NL_ files and such, separately or through the Regional and Language Options so I'll explain in detail here so there would be no mistakes:
1) Open Control Panel, then Regional and Language Options.
2) Select the Languages tab and under the Supplemental language support frame, check the the box next to "install support for East Asian languages".
3) Click on Ok or Apply, then you'll receive, if your actually missing the files, a dialog box which says that "The following file ' - ' is missing bla bla.." and it also allows you to specify a directory where it should be found. That directory is the "I386" folder you downloaded.
You only need to give the program the upper dir (I386) and nothing else. the program itself will take care of the .NL .IN_ .DL_ and such files with the built in Microsoft CAB SDK (Cabinet software, don't try it yourself or you'll mess up the files, just give the program the dir and it will search for the missing files by itself)
Hope this helped although I wrote this without fully understanding your prob.
If this did or did not help you, tell me..

missing cga80woa,dosapp, ega40woa, ega80woa, vgaoem ,vgafix, vgasys, serife , smalle.fon ,sserife. all files are .fon
works fine for me. thank you, the-duck
Thank you, Duck, you're great! I've been looking all over for some of these files, and here's the only place I found them!!! You're amazing! :)
You sir are a godsend. I was looking all over the net for ways to get around not having the disc (hand me down laptop and all.) I thank you for taking the time to do this for us.
Thanks Duck, it works!!
Like the person who posted above me I've been looking all over for an alternative to the disc. I've downloaded a couple of other Lang Packs but neither would install.
And just so you know, I'm using XP Pro via VMware on a Mac 10.5. Installation was a breeze.
Thanks again.

I can get about ninety nine percent of the files copies, but right at the very end I get a message that says, "Setup cannot copy the file cga80woa.fon. I open the brows menu and look through all the files included in your torrent, but the path is empty. Please Help!
You are the man or duck thanks so much, my daughters needs this for her class.
It says it installed everything, but when I try to change the language for non-unicode programs it says, cga80woa.fon is missing.
It worked for most of the way, only a few fonts were missing.
GUYS FOR THE LAST FEW FONTS, JUST GO INTO GOOGLE, AND TYPE IN THE NAME OF THE FONT THEN JUST ADD .FON AT THE END.
I was missing about 6, took me about 5 minutes to finish it.

Hey Duck, I have a problem that I can't seem to get help with anywhere else...
I'm using MicroXP V.084, and I've been trying to get support for East Asian Languages since forever. Now, here's my problem. I don't have "Regional and Language Settings" in my Control Panel. I was wondering if you could help me with this, as I've been trying to learn Japanese on my own, and it's rather hard without being able to see the characters. I'd appreciate any and all help. :)
Thanks.
